Simulated Divided Lite (SDL) is a popular option that combines great looks and permanence by adhering solid wood or aluminum grilles to the outside of both glass surfaces. The SDL simulates the look of individual panes of glass.
Choose from a wide selection of SDL patterns. Our standard SDL profile is 7/8" wide with 5/8" and 1-1/4'" as optional widths. Spacers are available in 4 discreet colors and are installed between the sheets of glass to enhance the visual 3-D effect.
Internal grilles, that is, grilles between 2 panes of glass and wood removable grilles are other popular options.
Aluminum Cladding
We use only extruded aluminum exterior cladding. Thicker and stronger than roll-form, it provides superior durability, weather and impact resistance and longer life.
Available in 35 aluminum clad colours (GENTEK colour chart available upon request), custom colours are also available.
